Driver Hire - Employee VolunteersOur expertise in engaging businesses with community organisations has been recognised by two national organisations. On the 30th June we are hosting a national event to find about the experiences of employer-supported volunteering (ESV) and its impact. We want to provide an opportunity for organisations to be able to talk about any positive experiences of ESV and any challenges you faced.

The session is part of a project at the Institute for Volunteering Research (part of NCVO) looking at ESV, commissioned by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in early 2015. It explores employee-supported volunteering both from the perspective of employers and volunteer-involving organisations.

The session will be an opportunity for local organisations to share their experiences of ESV with each other, as well as feeding into our research. With government plans for bringing in statutory ESV for larger organisations engaging civil servants in ESV, it’s a good time to consider it’s implementation.

Andy Curtis, Senior Research Officer said “The Institute for Volunteering Research (based at NCVO) is delighted to be working with Bradford Volunteer Centre and Bradford District Community Fund as part of their research on Employer-supported volunteering. The research explores the benefits and challenges of ESV from voluntary and community organisations perspective“.
