Apply For A Grant

The Bradford District Community Fund gives grants to a broad range of causes depending on what money has been raised or donated. In this section you’ll find information on eligibility.

Our aim is to support locally-based voluntary groups, charities, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises that encourage active participation from volunteers and usually have low levels of reserves.  We often prioritise applications from groups that benefit people living in economically or socially deprived areas of the District , and / or those supporting vulnerable groups.

We do not normally consider applications from individuals, for-profit organisations, local authorities, statutory-funded bodies or from organisations with an annual turnover above £500,000.

Each grant programme will have specific criteria, and an application process. Outlines and the particulars for schemes that are currently accepting applications can be found on the Open Grants Programmes page.

How to Apply
We encourage groups to apply via our online grants application.  For helpful tips and screen caps of what it looks like at each step, have a look at the Guide to the Online Application Process pdf. We also accept paper-based applications which are available by contacting us.

Measuring Impact
Groups that are awarded a grant are asked to report on the success of their project by completing an Impact Report.
