Winter Warmth Community Grants Scheme
Bradford District Community Fund is launching a new Winter Warmth Community Grants Scheme from October 2016. This scheme is funded by Bradford Metropolitan District Council Public Health and support from local donations. The aim of the fund is to support a range of community-based projects that help support people who may be vulnerable or become vulnerable to the impacts of cold weather during the winter months. The scheme runs together with programmes such as Be-neighbourly and the Warm Homes Healthy People (WHHP) programme.
Last year the fund helped out community associations and charitable groups who were keen to develop a neighbourhood or street project in their area. This year funding is available for up to £2,000 per successful project.
Applicants need to be voluntary or community groups, charities or social enterprises. We cannot make grants directly to individuals, statutory organisations or commercial entities. You can apply for a grant up to a maximum of £2,000.
Your organisation does not need to be based in the Bradford District but the project you apply for must benefit residents of the Bradford District.
If you have a good idea that doesn’t fit with the above please get in touch with Pam Bhupal T. 01274 43 2584 or Ali Akbar Azam T. 01274 435658 and have a chat.
You can apply as a local organisation for an award up to £2,000
Groups must meet certain conditions before being awarded a grant. For full details, and before you apply, please read the Criteria below:
